When should we book you?
Sooner rather than later, to avoid disappointment. You need to give at least a minimum of one month’s notice that you plan to marry.
Our wedding is not in Sydney, do you do weddings outside of Sydney?
Sure do. I’d love to help you celebrate your wedding. If you are considering booking me for a wedding outside of Sydney, please let me know as soon as possible. There will be of course a fee for additional travel and time.
How long should we allow for our wedding ceremony?
Most ceremonies are no longer than 20 minutes, but allow 30 minutes, plus time for congratulations and photographs. You won’t want to rush away after the ceremony.
Is it customary for the bride to arrive late?
5 minutes is fine, but 15 is just wrong. Guests always arrive early, so you being late means that they have additional waiting time which may involve standing for long periods of time in the sun or rain!
Do we need a back-up plan for our ceremony location?
You never know what the weather will be like on your big day so it’s worth making arrangements for an alternate option just in case. If its at a different venue, or different time of day, we need to talk about that.
Our wedding is only small, will the price be less?
It takes as much time, effort and skill to do a small wedding and a large wedding. Having said that, if the wedding is less than 10, the fee is negotiable.
Can we write our own vows?
Sure can. I also give you tips to help you get started. And, for those who don’t want to come up with their own words, I have lots of beautiful samples that you can modify to suit your style.
Do I do more than one wedding per day?
If timings and locations allow ample time to get from one to another I will.
What areas do I usually work in?
I conduct most weddings in metropolitan Sydney, and the Southern Highlands. However, I can travel to other areas.
What about music?
Live music is always great, but, if you would like to play music through my PA system please provide the songs on an iPod. The playlist is usually 3 to 4 songs: processional, signing of the registry & recessional. And please arrange someone to be in charge of the music. They must arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony and see me for a quick lesson and a sound check.
Do I bring the vows and/or the readings for the ceremony?
Yes! Always. I have a printed copy that I bring. And a back-up on my iPad.
Do I know any good photographers, musicians, florists?
Sure do. I meet and see lots of great people’s work. See Suppliers page.
Can I bring a signing table?
Yes, I can bring a signing table and a white cloth, but if you are having decorators set up your ceremony, get them to provide it.
Some of our guests don’t speak much English
No problems. I often present my ceremonies with an interpreter – its fun. And, I’ll always practise any language you give me, if you’d like me to say a welcome.
How do you book me?
After you send your enquiry, I can provide a quote based on your requirements. We usually chat on the phone, email, Skype or meet. To book my service and secure your date and time, I require a booking fee (non-refundable). This fee is deducted from the balance.
