  • Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens – Mrs Macquaries Point- Domain Lawns 42 & 43: world famous for the iconic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. You may use any lawn areas, however due to its popularity with tourists there are no bookings on the concrete viewing platform. Royal Botanical Gardens
  • Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens – Bridge View Lawn (Domain Lawn 41) & Yurong Lawn (Domain Lawn 38): these lawn areas are rich in Australian flora and due to their proximity to Mrs Macquaries Rd, ideal if you want to pull up to your ceremony in a horse and cart.   • Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens -Australian Rockery Lawn – Lawn 62: abundance of magnificent rockery consisting mostly of spring-flowering Australian native plants.   • Darling Point – McKell Park, Lindsay Avenue: spectacular harbour views, manicured lawns, public ferry wharf, sandstone sculptures, exotic garden and Canonbury Cottage available for indoor ceremonies Woollahra Council
  • Double Bay – Blackburn Gardens, New South Head Rd: heritage garden and retains spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. The Garden adjoins Woollahra Library, Murray Rose Pool (formerly Redleaf Pool) and Seven Shillings Beach. The garden features manicured lawn with a secret garden, sundial and water feature.   • Dover Heights – Caffyn Park, Corner Portland and Blake St: small, grassed area with shady trees and good views of the Harbour Waverley Council
  • Dover Heights – Dudley Page Reserve, Military Rd & Lancaster Rd: flat grass field with excellent Harbour views Waverley Council
  • Elizabeth Bay – McElhone Reserve, Billard Avenue: pretty park with spectacular harbour views City of Sydney
  • Rose Bay – Rose Bay Park, Corner New South Head Road and Wunulla Road: small park with a sandy beach and a shaded picnic area, often used for small wedding ceremonies as there are many nearby reception venues. Woollahra Council
  • Vaucluse- Neilson Park, Vaucluse Road Features: Bottle & Glass Point which is a flat area, with magnificent harbour views Woollahra Council
  • Watsons Bay – Robertson Park, Marine Pde: beautiful park, Rotunda, harbour foreshore location, Ferry access, nearby reception facilities Woollahra Council 
  • Watsons Bay- South Head, Cliff Street Features: coastal reserve on the headland, great views of the southern entrance to Sydney Harbour National Parks & Wildlife Service
  • Woollahra – Chiswick Gardens, Corner of Wellington & Ocean Street: a beautifully maintained setting for any special occasion. The manicured lawn and period planting provides a beautiful landscape. Woollahra Council

Inner West – Wedding Locations

  • Balmain – Elkington Park, Glassop Street: on Balmain foreshore, large rotunda, opens grassed areas, established trees, and outlook across the water. Popular park for weddings. Leichhardt Council 
  • Balmain East – Illoura Reserve, Weston Street: hugs the peninsula from the Balmain East Ferry Terminal around to Peacock Point. Has an abundance of native vegetation and sandstone cliffs with a viewing platform looking out over Sydney Harbour and Johnstons Bay. Leichhardt Council 
  • Balmain East – Thornton Park, Darling St: a perfect place to enjoy stunning views of the Harbour, City and Sydney Harbour Bridge. It has a fantastic rose garden as a feature piece. Leichhardt Council
  • Birchgrove – Yurulbin park, Louisa Rd: native bushland reserve, a former shipbuilding site it has been restored into a secluded spot on the Harbour; with a lawn area and a wooden viewing platform, with views to the Harbour Bridge. The Birchgrove Ferry wharf extends from the park. Leichhardt Council

 


 

Northern Suburbs – Wedding Locations

  • Kirribilli – Bradfield Park, Alfred Street South (under the North Pylons of the Harbour Bridge) Features: spectacular location with Harbour views, grassy areas, offers a shady haven. North Sydney Council
  • Manly – Clontarf Reserve, Sandy Bay Road: a park & harbour beach with spectacular views of Middle Harbour towards the Spit Bridge. The venue has a Westerly aspect with shade trees. There is also a reception venue, Clonny’s Restaurant Manly Council
  • North Harbour Reserve Condamine St. Features: An expanse of grassed parkland right on the edge of the Harbour. A large level site with a South Easterly aspect. Manly Council
